The thought occurred to me that it might be very useful if we had a set of photographs showing the condition of the access to and car park surfaces in the New Forest.

Forestry England are about to introduce car parking charges in the next few days across 129 car parks. We have been told that the revenue generated will be used to improve the quality of the car park surfaces and access roads.

Wouldn’t be good if we had a pretty comprehensive set of photographs taken in the next couple of weeks that we could compare with those taken in a year’s time ?

I don’t want to prompt any unnecessary journey’s that wouldn’t normally be undertaken but may I ask that if you are visiting a New Forest car park you take a photo or two and perhaps let me know in the comments when you have done so and which car park ?

I will make a diary note to re-visit the issue in May 2027 and let’s see whether the promised investment has happened !
