I can hardly believe I bought this orchid for just £5 at B & Q, Nursling. These plants are amazing. They are truly beautiful and provide months and months of colour with minimal maintenance required.

Orchids used to be something extremely rare and incredibly expensive to buy. I have been really surprised at how you now see them in all sorts of retailers at very reasonable prices.

Somebody somewhere must have perfected the trick of propagating them in their thousands at very low cost.
