These days, I get more scam calls than legitimate calls on my landline.
Today, it was a gentleman who introduced himself as working for the “National Investigations Team”. He wanted to talk to me about some insulation I had carried out in my loft.
Very clearly, there are a lot of scams surrounding the whole issue of loft insulation. If you ever had it carried out the contact details get sold on and the scammers assume that you are likely to be the sort of person that can be scammed again.
I asked him for his fall name and the website address (which of course, didn’t check out). At this point he pretended he couldn’t hear my follow up question and then cut off.
It is a bit sickening that these scammers try and make a living by preying upon people who can be tricked by such tactics, especially elderly, vulnerable, people. I am not quite in that category next.
