I travelled back 10,000 years this weekend, courtesy of a visit to Butser Ancient Farm, near Petersfield.

It was an interesting visit, made all the more enjoyable by staff and volunteers who were happy to chat and explain more about how our ancestors used to live.

I can recommend it as a place to spend two or three hours.

There were a few American tourists walking around. Oh, how they must envy our history and connections with the past !
