I asked officers at Hampshire County Council for an update on the next steps on the project to widen a section of the A326. I have now had a response.

I am told that the detailed plans have been registered with the New Forest District Council and New Forest National Park Authority, so that the formal planning applications can be validated before publishing mid May.

There will then be a statutory six week period in which the public or any organisations that wish to can comment on the plans. They are not planning to do any further consultation/ drop-in events.

The plans will be viewable online via the Planning Portal website and comments can be submitted by anyone who wishes to. Paper copies of all documents will also be available at the HCC offices in Winchester and the National Park offices in Lymington.
