In the crazy, crazy, world of Trump’s America…. in one sense, what happened makes perfect sense….. The World Cup was taking some of the focus and attention away from Donald….. so what to do ?

He calls his dodgy friend at FIFA and complained about a red card issued to a USA player which was preventing him from playing against Belgium.

Surprise, surprise, the red card is suspended !

Trump has absolutely no shame, no respect for the integrity of the sport, no hesitation in going well beyond the boundaries and putting politics into football…… not even a thought about what it means to undermine the spirit of the game, that everyone should play to the same rules.

Thank goodness Belgium did us all a favour and thumped the USA team, knocking them out of the competition.
