GRASS CUTTING POLICY….

Overgrown grass and weeds along a roadside curb, impacting curb appeal.
It is the time of the year that I get two types of complaint. The first is that the grass cutting hasn’t been done on the estate where I live. The second type of complaint is that the grass cutting has been done, destroying all the wild plants that are so important for nature.
At such times I begin to think that whatever I, or the Council, does… we can’t win !
It is quite hard to please everybody all the time. However, it is worth pointing out that there are policies in place that are designed to reach a reasonable compromise between the need to make things look reasonably tidy and support nature.
In my area, the cutting is arranged by the District Council, but similar considerations apply.
