I went to see the security staff employed by Southern Water at Testwood lakes today. The facility will be re-opened to the public tomorrow, (19th August).

Somebody had reported that a man was in trouble in the water, prompting a strong and swift response from the emergency services, including a helicopter for a short period. The fear was that there had been another drowning incident.

Fortunately, it seems that this was not the case and we can only presume that the gentleman had left the water without being spotted. Swimming isn’t allowed at Testwood Lakes.
