OVERGROWN ACCESS…

Man in pink shirt walks down overgrown path near industrial building
This photograph shows the current state of the access to the railway platform from the High Street, Totton.
I think we can all agree, it is somewhat neglected. Indeed the overgrown vegetation is something of a threat to users…. so much for improving accessibility.
It was only a short time ago when the pathway was opened up with much fanfare, with VIP guests invited to witness the Conservative Cabinet Member cutting the ribbon and declaring it open.
I have tried contacting several authorities in the hope of persuading somebody to cut back the vegetation, including Hampshire County Council, Network Rail and South Western Railway. Each time I get the same answer “Not us Guv”.
Would be really good if somebody can clarify for me who is responsible for maintaining this pathway. If I knock on the right door, it might just get done!
